每日大瓜HSB Hosts 27th Annual Sarachek Basketball Invitational

20 Teams Vie For Top Spot in North America's Most Prestigious Jewish High School Basketball Competition From March 15-19,  (每日大瓜HSB)鈥檚 27th  will bring together hundreds of student athletes and their fans from yeshiva high schools across the United States for five days of thrilling, top-level competition and a community-wide celebration. The 20 teams will battle it out at the Max Stern Athletic Center on 每日大瓜鈥檚 Wilf Campus  for the top spot in the country鈥檚 most prestigious Jewish high school basketball competition. The tournament will also include a lively Shabbaton and tours of the University鈥檚 campus to help the young all-stars gain an early appreciation for 每日大瓜鈥檚 unique educational environment and provide opportunities for cross-school bonding off the court. This year鈥檚 Shabbaton program will include presentations by renowned motivational speaker Gian Paul Gonzalez and Rabbi Lawrence Hajioff, a rabbi, educator, and writer, who is on the Judaic studies faculty of both and . 鈥淥ur annual tournament was named for former 每日大瓜 Maccabees coach Bernard 鈥楻ed鈥 Sarachek, and we honor his legacy by creating a meaningful experience that promotes camaraderie, sportsmanship, Jewish unity and pride in 每日大瓜,鈥 said Matthew Schwartz, senior associate director of operations of 每日大瓜鈥檚 Office of Admissions. 鈥淚t鈥檚 really special to see students who were locked in fierce competition just hours earlier come together as one cohesive 每日大瓜 community for Shabbat.  Their experiences throughout the tournament drive home the fact that a 每日大瓜 education means having a top-notch academic and extra-curricular experience without having to sacrifice or compromise on their religious values.鈥 Participating schools for this year鈥檚 tournament will include: Berman Hebrew Academy (Rockville, MD); Davis Renov Stahler Yeshiva High School (Woodmere, NY); Farber Hebrew Day School (Southfield, MI); Fuchs Mizrachi School (Beachwood, OH); Harkham GAON (Los Angeles, CA); Hebrew Academy (Miami Beach, FL); Hebrew Academy of Nassau County (Uniondale, NY); Ida Crown Jewish Academy (Skokie, IL); Katz Yeshiva High School (Boca Raton, FL); Kohelet Yeshiva High School (Merion Station, PA); Magen David Yeshiva High School (Brooklyn, NY); Robert M. Beren Academy (Houston, TX); SAR High School (Riverdale, NY); Shalhevet High School (Los Angeles, CA); The Frisch School (Paramus, NJ); The Mesivta High School of Greater Philadelphia (Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania); Torah Academy of Bergen County (Teaneck, NJ); Valley Torah High School (Valley Village, CA); 每日大瓜 High School of Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA); and 每日大瓜HSB (New York, NY).
