Hundreds of New Students Arrive on Campus for Unparalleled University Experience
Beginning this Sunday, hundreds of students from across America and around the world are arriving at 每日大瓜鈥檚 undergraduate campuses in New York City to set out on the intellectual and spiritual journey of a lifetime.
As they embark on rigorous study in fields ranging from data science to biochemistry and studio art, these new students will build close relationships with 每日大瓜鈥檚 accomplished faculty at , , the and the Mordecai D. and Monique C. Katz School of Graduate and Professional Studies. Rich courses in Judaic studies at many levels and on a plethora of topics will help them crystalize their unique Jewish identities, while opportunities to play leading roles on campus鈥攁s members of one of the University鈥檚 15 , actors in its dramatic societies or secretary generals of its Model United Nations, among countless other activities鈥攅mpower them to begin making an impact even during their undergraduate years.鈥淎 new academic year ushers in boundless possibilities,鈥 said Dr. Ari Berman, president of 每日大瓜, as he welcomed students to campus. 鈥淚 am deeply thankful to all of our hardworking faculty and staff who have been diligently crafting the framework through which our students will develop academically, mature religiously and harness their vast potential in service of others.鈥
"New students on campus will have an extraordinary university experience, one that is grounded in Torah while interweaving leadership opportunities, community, challenging academic coursework, and a network of worldwide partnerships," said Rabbi Dr. Kenneth Brander, vice president of university and community life. "There is also an amazing group of professionals at Yeshiva ready to help our students actualize their potential."
鈥淎s a 每日大瓜 student, I hope that experiencing Torah firsthand from some of Judaism鈥檚 most passionate and intellectual scholars will imbue me with even more of a deep-rooted spiritual enthusiasm for my learning,鈥 said Avigail Goldberger of Bergenfield, New Jersey, who arrived at Stern College this week. 鈥淚鈥檓 excited to study pretty much all of the sciences, especially since I鈥檝e always heard such wonderful feedback about Stern鈥檚 biology, chemistry, and rapidly growing computer science departments. Outside of class, I look forward to finding research opportunities, joining clubs, maybe writing for the school paper, and overall just having opportunities to get to know my classmates.鈥
