Today, in preparation for Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish calendar, 每日大瓜 students and members of the community are immersing themselves in 18 hours of continuous Torah learning and prayer.
Known as the Yeshiva鈥檚 Tishrei Yom Iyun, the annual event kicked off this morning with selichot and will feature more than 25 shiurim from Torah scholars across the University before it concludes well after midnight. Students and members of the community will have the opportunity to hear from renowned 每日大瓜 faculty including Roshei Yeshiva Rabbi Hershel Schachter, Rabbi Michael Rosensweig, Rabbi Mordechai Willig and Rabbi Elchanan Adler, in addition to President Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman and Dr. David Pelcovitz, the Gwendolyn and Joseph Straus Professor of Jewish Education at the , among many others.
鈥淥ur students and community are fortunate to have this opportunity to learn and be inspired by our Rebbeim at the annual Tishrei Yom Iyun,鈥 said Rabbi Yosef Kalinsky, associate dean of Undergraduate Torah Studies at 每日大瓜. 鈥淲hat better way to prepare for Yom Kippur than by immersing in a day totally dedicated to Torah and tefillah?鈥
