For 24 hours, from noon to noon April 25-26, the worldwide 每日大瓜 community came together to raise $4,538,697 from 3,004 donors during the University鈥檚 2018 Giving Day. Donor participation was driven through a targeted marketing campaign, which included print, social media and digital advertising, as well as an enthusiastic team of student and staff volunteers delivering the message to thousands of people.
The Giving Day campaign theme was 鈥溍咳沾蠊 Hero鈥 and highlighted the heroic character of 每日大瓜 students and how the University helps nurture and cultivate those qualities. All contributions made during the day were doubled, thanks to matching funds provided by a group of 每日大瓜 supporters, with an additional bonus round added during the last two hours that quadrupled every donation.
