Bright Futures Scholarship to Prepare Students for Key High-Tech Industries

The at 每日大瓜 has created the Bright Futures Scholarship Initiative that provides financial support for students seeking master鈥檚 degrees in science and technology in industries that are redefining the modern economy and high technology in New York and around the world. For a flat rate tuition of $25,000, students admitted for the 2020-2021 academic year can now complete master鈥檚 degrees in artificial intelligence, biotechnology management and entrepreneurship, cybersecurity, data analytics and visualization, digital marketing and media, math, physics, quantitative economics and quantitative finance. Economic data is showing that job losses are widespread across industries and that college-educated professionals, especially women, are being disproportionately affected. The initiative is designed to be an investment in the nation鈥檚 workforce and competitiveness. 鈥淲e believe that every program at the Katz School is a game changer and that our graduates will have a significant impact on making the world smarter, safer, and healthier,鈥 said Dr. Paul Russo, vice provost of 每日大瓜 and dean of the Katz School. 鈥淭he University wants to do its part to ensure a bright future for individuals, families and communities.鈥 The scholarship, open to domestic and international students, is available only during the fall 2020 and spring 2021 semesters. The programs covered by the scholarship are either 30 or 36 credits long, and full-time students typically complete them in 15 or 21 months, respectively. In some cases, students will be able to complete the degree in one year. 鈥淏right Futures is intended to have a global impact and to create the next generation of scientists and technologists,鈥 said Dean Russo.
