Daniel Pollack, professor at , and Robert Reiser, a PhD candidate at Wurzweiler, have co-authored an article in , titled 鈥淚n One Sentence, What Makes You Special? 鈥 Marketing Social Work.鈥
鈥淎s social workers and social service providers, it鈥檚 easy to forget that we are also marketers,鈥 Pollack and Reiser observed. 鈥淲hile we don鈥檛 sell beer, automobiles, or computer games, we do compete in the crowded marketplace of empathy and social justice. Marketing is all about storytelling. To have dreams is one thing; to convey them to others鈥攖o have them heard and understood鈥攊s something else.鈥
